Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
What have I finished reading since my last update?
Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson. ⭐️⭐️ 2.5 stars. REP: Main characters are American, Russian, and Japanese. One main character ends up disabled through the course of the book. CW: Sexism and racism, especially Islamophobia. I’m realizing that a lot of my problem with sci-fi is when it’s more focused on the concepts than character development. This book had that issue for me. Also, it was very long (for me, 23 hours of audiobook is a lot).
Empire of Light by Alex Harrow. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars. REP: Damian is gay, demi, and a POC. Aris is pan and polyam, and Raeyn (my bae) is pan. CW: Alex provides a full list of warnings at the beginning of their book. Big ones include a history of sexual assault, a trust violations within a relationship, and unwanted groping. Also violence. Lots of violence. The plan is that there will be a full review of this book up on my blog soon. I wrote it to post today but then it got deleted, which is why you’re getting this a day earlier than I meant! Anyway, keep an eye out for that soon. ^_^ Suffice it to say I loved it a whole lot.

Also a fluffy audiobook… still deciding which one.
